With functioning daily-use assistive devices, Deaf and Hard of Hearing children can experience more of the amazing wonders of the world around them. These assistive devices, such as hearing aids and cochlear implants, allow the child to listen to environmental sounds better and learn incidentally from the world around them, which in turn helps with better holistic development.

In this illustration, Amelia spends quality time chatting, discovering, exploring, and learning about wildlife with her dad.
