Bearded Pigs and Bornean Flying Frogs

There's a relationship between pig wallows and frogs that frogs use them as their breeding pools! Bearded pigs are just the right size for the Rhacophorus borneensis (Borneo Flying Frogs) because these frogs are too small and unadapted to dig a hole that big. The frogs are able to depend on rain to create puddles but they will dry up too fast enough before the tadpoles can metamorph.

This illustration is done for Shavez's book on Mammals of Borneo.
